Anyways, life's been pretty nice to me lately. Waves of melancholia, sadness and nostalgia still wash over me, but usually only during times of loneliness and rain. Which hasn't been a regular thing, thank God. That philosophy essay took me on a journey of 'life' in its whole entirety. Such a tiring thing, my brain is never going to recover, which can seen be as a positive thing as I learnt so, so much. Even though it overtook me with anger rages and rants of emo-ness, my lecturer/ tutor taught me so much as well as Lisa. We spent an afternoon on the eve that my essay was due in Maccas and discussed 'The experience machine' by Nozick. Haha, I sound like such a pretentious dick.
Here's some photos :)

Well, last night a loverly bunch of us went to the Boy & Bear gig at Capitol. It is an entire fairytale in its self (which ends sadly- of course) and I will tell anyone that listens. So yes blog- that means you! Yay!!
Qiqin rocked up in her beast of a Jeep and we rocked on to Hannah's house to pick her up too. We made our way to Qiq's mums restaurant in Northbridge and this is where all the fun started. (Not saying the Jeep wasn't but I'm talking about fun, like alcoholic fun, totally bad image of me but you know what I mean!)
Being the classy friends we are, we drank that Smirnoff goon in wine glasses and awaited the arrival of Ashleigh & Dorafa. Once they arrived, we had multitudes of bottles, lemon chicken, goon-bags, and to top it all off: fried ice cream- this lead to conversations of fishes dancing to dub step, past ex-boyfriends, wondering if my father had a mustache or not and how Uncle Wei calls Ashleigh "fei mao".
Tom then decided to join us and after half-skulling bottles of Skky (OH THE GOOD UNDERAGE DRINKING DAYS!) we made our way to Dorafa's green wang. It is there that we discovered a long thin piece of paper that we shall not discuss because it was such a misfortune!! Anyways, after nearly dying at the intersection and harassing poor Dorafa with our drunken antics (Ashleigh yelling at a bike rider out of a window and people pushing me to duck down from police) we made it to Amps! This part gets a bit boring: we realised Capitol was PACKED, found Jodie/Mohi/Dee/Scott and squished in that little area infront of the bar, got some drinks, and awaited for Boy & Bear! We made it at a perfect time because they came on after not waiting for too long!!
Yaaay! They played about two songs, and we were stuck between two GIANT girls, all I could see was their backs which seemed to be playing Boy & Bear! I was so annoyed because I reallllly wanted to take photos. And then the alcohol really hit. My stomach, intestines, air pipes, starting to constrict and fill up with food. Yeah, only one thing haha. So left my camera, squished through people and the rest was kind of a blur.
On my way back, I found the most perfect spot which would allow me to take photos and really enjoy the show, so squished my way back, asked for my camera, squished my way back again and then some more and ended up at the most ideal spot everr!!!! Well more ideal than two super duper tall girls!! I was so happy!! Even though I still felt a bit sick/ drunk. I didn't mind that I was alone, because I had my camera and Boy & Bear in all its glory- that is all that I needed. Unfortunately, being the stupid amateur photographer I am, I forgot to bring another roll of film :( So I was limited to about 12 shots, and only various ones turned out since my drunken hands did no justice to the shutter speed settings.
So for the glorious 45 minutes, I stood there amazed, overtaken, in love and just so freaking happy!!! My night just couldn't get any better. But oh, did it get way better!!! Once it was over, I was just so taken away- especially by Dave! I met up with the gang once again and we were a large cloud of smiles, loud exclamations of "OMG THEY WERE AMAZING" and lyrics here and there. We sat on the couch, and wondered what we should do with ourselves because we were just so- ahh! So euphoric.
Then, I realised I only had one shot left on my roll so I took this photo, which basically shows all- everyone looks so happy and rosey :) Plus Hannah's legs look so amazing.

Suddenly Tom was like, 'oh hey! There's the drummer!' as he just walked past us. Of course we followed- we'd be stupid not to! And the band had a table set up and everything (for signing autographs and selling merch). For some really, really weird reason, it was not busy AT all! Like there was literally, NO ONE waiting to see the wonderful boys and not watch them sing but just be in their presence as close as one could get to them!!!! I admit, I must've acted a bit off key but I was just so caught up in the moment I couldn't believe we were gonna get a photo with them tooo! So after waiting a while, Ash plucked up the courage to ask them and they moved so our huge group could take one with them :) They were so super duperly nice! After waiting for separate individual photos, we saw some Indian security guard come talk to Dave and say they had to move to Amps cause Caps was gonna shut. So the band started to move, and obviously so did my eyes, following him. I have no idea why but I dragged QiQin and left the others to chase after him across the floor. I literally ran up to him and was like "I'm so sorry could I please have a photo with you?" and he smiled such a nice smile and said yes :D
After my iPhone managed to take the worst photo (my eyes look like there white!), I expected him to leave but he started talking to us! Qiqin and I started talking about how AMAZING they were, and at Southbound and stuff, we sounded like the biggest groupies! At this point I had nooo idea where the others were, I was just soooo happy I was so close!! After some point in time, he pulled his hand out and said "My name's Dave, and yours is?" I was thinking ... Woah, dude... he wants to actually now my name? I even struggled to think that he cared?? Hahaha, so then after two seconds of all this going through my head I went ... "My names Annie :D" and he proceeded to go over to Qiqin.. and then the others FINALLY came, and Ash just jumped in, stuck her arm out and went "My names Ash!"
Hahah :D And he continued to go around our group haha. And then once again they repeated how amazing they were at Southbound etc etc. Ahhhhhh.
And then he said he had to go to the rest of the band :(
And that was the end of the fairytale.
Well apart from the continuous swooning, high pitched "I can't believe we met them" exclamations and loud Boy & Bear music in the wang- it was the end...

..for now
x
p,s Ash has credit for some of the photos in that long line up there! Such a loverly drunk photographer, had some crazy adventures with her today as well, but that's a story for the kids!
